D A I L Y     P R O G R E S S

Tour began on Saturday May, 12th 2007.
We left at 8:00 a.m., from the Walton Arts Center parking lot in Fayetteville.

Day Five

Pine Bluff, AR to Lake Village, AR - Last day in Arkansas
Mileage - 81 miles
Nice tail wind most of the day
Temp 60s to mid 70s - sunny

Bikers, this is what biking should be like. Almost perfectly flat with a
nice tail wind.
Averaged 20 mph, with a stretch of 20 miles at 25 mph

The scenery has changed from hills and forests to wide flat fields.
Rice, corn, wheat fields.
Very rural with population much more sparse.

Quote of the day from Dan, "Oh that stinks!, o man, ah, ah, groan, that
really stinks!" after passing some type of road kill.

Price of gas is pretty good in this direction - $2.85/gal

We met with another newspaper this afternoon - thanks for your prayers
and help with getting the attention of the media.
We appreciate everyone's help in raising awareness about Down Syndrome
and the message of hope.
