D A I L Y     P R O G R E S S

Tour began on Saturday May, 12th 2007.
We left at 8:00 a.m., from the Walton Arts Center parking lot in Fayetteville.

Day Eleven

North of Mobile, AL to Andalusia, AL
70 miles
70s to 80s
Some head winds with warm oven like winds beginning to bake toward the
end of the ride.
Roads were great. Although there were some stretches with little
shoulder, there was not much traffic.
Gently rolling hills, with relatively open areas (not to many blind
curves)

We left City Church this morning with a great send off - these are real
people people - wanting to help in any way they can.
They gave us some money to have a special treat at Starbucks much to the
delight of the older kids.
Thanks for taking care of us so well.

Arrived at our very good friends, Tim and Ashley Jones mid afternoon.
It was so good to see you all and to see your kids.  Thanks for the
great cook out meal and the chance to visit.
We had kids spread out all over the place - thanks for your great
hospitality and hugs.
It was also good to see Tim's parents, Bob and Julia Jones - also some
friends from a time when we lived in New York.
It was good to catch up on old times.

Thoughts:
Is it the journey or the destination?
It is so much more pleasant to have others along for the trip.
I could speed ahead and get to where I am going, but miss all the beauty
and conversations along the way.
Jon took us on that D-Tour.
This D-Tour has helped me to slow down and smell the aroma of life.
We sometimes say, "Life stinks"
Maybe we are smelling too much exhaust.
